Cross smart to the World Championships!

Our tips for getting to the Cyclo-Cross World Championships in Hulst (and back home) smoothly.
  • Leave your car at home, choose a smart alternative. The Cyclo-Cross World Championships are a true cycling event. So leave your car at home and choose a sporty or sustainable alternative. There are plenty of buses and shuttles available to Hulst.
  • Don’t leave too late and plan ahead. You won’t be traveling alone, so allow extra travel time. Follow the directions below. This is the best way to arrive safely and smoothly at your destination.
Bike

Cycle there!

Cycling is often the fastest way to reach the Cyclo-Cross World Championships. If you live in Hulst or nearby villages such as Clinge, Sint Jansteen, Kappellebrug, Heikant, Ter Hole, Sint-Gillis-Waas, Kieldrecht, or Nieuw Namen, you’ll be there in no time!

A free bike parking area is available at the entrance to the course.

Tip: Living a bit further away? Bring your bike in the car or rent a shared bike and park at our Park & Bike location. This way, you can still cycle comfortably to the event!

Public transport

We have several direct lines that will bring you quickly and comfortably to the Cyclo-Cross World Championships. From Terneuzen, Sint-Niklaas, and Antwerp Linkeroever, you can easily board the crossbus to the course.

  • Terneuzen: Departure from bus station Westerscheldetunnel carpool, with a stop at Stadhuis bus station
  • Sint-Niklaas: Departure from Sint-Niklaas train station
  • Antwerp: Departure from Antwerp P+R Linkeroever, with a stop at P+R Melsele

The departure points are easily accessible by public transport, bike, or car. You can choose how to reach the boarding location.

If you are staying near Terneuzen, Sint-Niklaas, or Antwerp, this is the fastest way to get to the World Championships!

Drop-off and pick-up

If you live too far to walk or cycle to the WC, you can be conveniently dropped off.

A free Kiss & Ride area is available close to the event site. Follow the signs and markings to reach it easily. From there, it’s a short and simple walk to the event area.

Coming by car? Buy your parking ticket in advance!

Important: Without a parking ticket, we advise against coming to Hulst by car. Full = full, so order your ticket on time in our ticket shop.

The Cyclo-Cross World Championships are for everyone. Visitors with disabilities can attend the event safely and comfortably.

  • Accessible parking for people with disabilities is available at the event site. These spaces are only for wheelchair users (and on presentation of a blue card).
  • Accessible zones and restrooms are provided on-site.
  • If you wish to use a parking space for people with disabilities, please contact bereikbaarheid@hulst2026.com

VIP visitors have access to an exclusive parking area. From here, a VIP shuttle will take you directly to the VIP entrance.

 

  • Follow the signs on the day of the event.
  • The VIP parking is safe and easily accessible, so you can enjoy your visit stress-free.
  • Only accessible with a valid VIP Parking Ticket.

There are plenty of options to stay overnight in the region.

  • On the initiative of the Municipality of Hulst, a Facebook platform has been set up where locals can offer accommodations or spaces for tents or campers to World Championships visitors.
    Through this platform, you can easily check available accommodations or place your own request. This way, you can quickly find a place close to the course.
  • Prefer to stay just outside Hulst? Thanks to the direct lines from Terneuzen, Sint-Niklaas, and Antwerp Left Bank, it’s easy to book accommodation there and take the Crossbus to the World Championships.
